Bozeman Content Day

As I have delved deeper into my photography career, educating and collaborating other photographers has become a passion. I recently hosted my Bozeman Content Day in Bozeman, Montana late this Spring. The event was a huge success thanks to partnering with amazing vendors, models, and of course the talented photographer attendees who came from all over the country to participate.

For those that aren’t familiar with photography content days, they are essentially an opportunity for photographers to come take pictures of styled elopement and engagement sessions. Everything is set up for them when they arrive at the shoots including, florals, models, outfits, and makeup. All variables are under control so that the photographers can capture beautiful content to use for advertising, posting to their social media, and on their websites. The idea is to have images that will attract their ideal clientele and build an ideal portfolio to share with potential clients.

My Bozeman Content Day included six styled shoots; three elopements and three casual sessions. All of the florals were beautifully designed by Melissa at Earth Within Flowers based out of Missoula, Montana. The first session was a western themed elopement and engagement session. I rented Sheridan’s elopement dress from Dallas Dress Rentals who can be found on Instagram. I completed Sheridan’s styled look with a black western hat from Revolve. To give the elopement some texture, I rented a modern rug, with hints of western, from Montana Party Rentals.  Meanwhile, Lexi and Marcus modeled for a couples session which turned into a REAL surprise engagement! Yes! Marcus proposed to Lexi during the Content Day! I ordered Lexi’s casual western outfit from 12th Tribe. All of these amazing vendors came together beautifully to create the western themed elopement and engagement sessions I had envisioned.

Our next session was held in Pray, Montana. We hunkered down and shot this moody session with high winds and rain showers and the results were amazing! Madison’s colorful bouquet was designed by Melissa at Earth Within Flowers. I conveniently owned the wedding dress that she wore which fit her beautifully. Gigi Pip sponsored the white wide brim hat for the shoot. Lillian and Justin modeled the couples session. Their fun and whimsical personalities were perfect for an adventurous styled session. Despite dealing with some less than ideal weather, the photos turned out moody and gorgeous!

Finally, our last two sessions were held at Hyalite Reservoir just outside of Bozeman. Devin and Mark were troopers and paddled through the partly frozen reservoir in their elopement attire. I rented the gorgeous, red canoe for the shoot from Northern Lights Trading Co in Bozeman which made for a fun and adventurous styled session. I ordered Devin’s white elopement dress from Free People. In the second session at the reservoir, Baylee and Brayden modeled an elegant and romantic elopement. They modeled in front of their own personal table filled with stunning tableware and colorful florals. Melissa with Earth Within Flowers did an amazing job styling the flowers for an elegant look. I rented the Table and chairs from the elopement from Tailored and Tied located in Manhattan, Montana, and the tableware was courtesy of Montana Party Rentals.

My Bozeman Content Day was a great opportunity to connect with talented vendors and photographers. If you are a photographer, keep your eyes peeled for my next content day! The location and date is to be determined.
